GG ALLIN / Algae Afterbirth – Black & Blue XMAS RECORD

The most bizarre holiday record of all time! Side A is sung by GG Allin himself as he tells us about the gifts he got from “his true slut”. 7″ EP $5.00 Santa Is Dead 7” EP. Side B contains the Algae Afterbirth classic Santa is Dead where Algae breaks out crying about the death of Mr Claus. With a parental Label well deserved by GG’s song this is another one not for the kids. Don’t celebrate your holidays without this one.

Algae Afterbirth- Baby Rasta/ Medical Waste 12″ EP
After headlining at The Living Room in Providence as Afterbirth in 1984, Algae left the
group and started his solo career. He recorded “Santa’s Dead” as the flipside to GG Allin on The Black & Blue Xmas Record 7″. Shortly after he recorded this 12″ EP called Baby Rasta that featured local reggae artists and a bonus metal cut called “Medical Waste” with lyrics by Black & Blue Records honcho Peter Yarmouth which was the first of many collaborations between the two. The band that played on Medical Waste became Algae’s live band and included Wypo.

Algae Afterbirth -Sloppy Seconds 7″ EP
Algae started his music career with Price Paully. His first band The Terrorists disbanded as fast as it began. From there Algae formed Can Of Worms, also short-lived. Then Algae and Can of Worms band mate Drool Flemming began new with drummer Moe Cheese and Bassist The Phantom to create the band Afterbirth. They released this 7″ EP ” which got them on the Punk Rock map. Fellow punk rockers Sloppy Seconds got in touch with Algae as some fans confused this record as a release of theirs and said they would release a record called Afterbirth. It never happened. Algae and this crew opened for DOA, Circle Jerks and GG Allin. Playing as Allin’s band as well as opening for him at the infamous show at The Rocket (captured on Insult & Injury Vol 4). This caused a riff as Moe refused to play with GG so Algae got his pal Wypo to play drums for the GG set. Soon Wypo replaced Moe as the bands drummer full time. Here is the first offering from Algae with pure punk tunes “Sexually Abused Children”, “I Reject” , “On The Streets” and “Brains On The Wall”.

Blue Nouveaux-”Darkness in Me” LP
This debut album from The Rose Of England Celia Hemken will lead you through a winding emotional trip with a almost foreboding lyrical content. Sitting in the dark tunes some say. A variety of guests along with the lovely vocals and saxophone of Celia Hemken. Blue Nouveaux’s debut CD turned the alternative music world Black & Blue.
